Biography

Brewchad finds its rock musical envelope and then tries to push it further. With its Montreal flavour and indie Rock soul, the 5 band members lend their voices to form a critically acclaimed sound which has been compared to the likes of Coldplay, Interpol, Arcade Fire and Alice in Chains.

"You That I Lost" is the first full-length debut album released in 2009. It holds 12 tacks, featuring the song "Shades of Grey" which really captures the essence of Brewchad's Indie sound. Reviewers (including Le Soleil and The Suburban) qualify this debut release as "captivating", "haunting" and "emotional".

The magic of Brewchad's Montreal indie rock sound lies within its lineup. First, the two core members: John Serino and Dan Romano, who themselves wrote, recorded and produced the entire "You That I Lost" CD. The addition of the Sussex, England native Nigel Hunt in 2010 brought a new british-pop influence to the band. Finally, the lineup was completed by Anthony Karam and Marc-André Séguin more recently.

In case you're wondering, the name Brewchad is derived from the Italian word "bruciato" meaning "burnt" or "burned". This translated their feeling after having made a first encounter with the music industry. Now, this rocking quintet is ready to set fire to any stage they set foot on!
